✦Description of Composite Drain Mat

The new composite drain mat is a three-dimensional drainage material, consisting of two layers of non-woven fabric and a central drainage core. The drainage core is made of polypropylene material, which is specially extruded into monofilaments, and the monofilaments are interwoven to form a mesh mat.

Since the drainage core is honeycomb-shaped inside, the water seepage speed is fast, achieving a good drainage effect. The upper and lower composite layers of non-woven fabric play a filtering role, so no particles will enter the drainage channel, the drainage channel will not be blocked, and the structure will not deform or collapse.

✦Advantages of Composite Drain Mat
  • Composite drain mat has a very high drainage flow rate, reduces pore water pressure, and improves the overall stability of the project.
  • Good economy: composite drain mat is estimated that the use of geosynthetic drainage mats to replace traditional drainage mat materials can save 15% to 30% of the cost. The new composite drain mat can reduce the space required for the drainage system, thereby further reducing the construction cost.
  • Fast construction: The use of composite drain mat is simple and fast, which greatly simplifies the complex grading process of traditional sand and gravel drainage mats, and can effectively shorten the construction period and save costs. At the same time, it reduces excavation and construction costs, reduces the storage cost of excavated materials, etc.
  • The production process is controlled, which can maintain consistent quality and simplify the difficulty of quality control on the construction site

This product flyer is intended for reference purposes.  It should not be used in place of the advice from a licensed Professional Engineer.  Nominal pressure (PN) is based on C = 1,25 and an operating temperature of 20°C.  Weight is calculated using DN and Minimum wall plus 6% for use in estimating fluid flow. Actual ID will vary. When designing components to fit the pipe ID, refer to pipe dimensions and tolerances in the applicable pipe manufacturing specification.  To obtain pressure in psi, multiply bar by 14.5 (1 bar ≈ 14.5 psi).  Additional information is available at www.bingopipes.com.

Application

✦Applications of Composite Drain Mat
  • A good drainage system is essential to prevent hidden dangers such as groundwater seepage, soil erosion, and leakage, which may lead to structural damage such as buildings or mountains. Composite drain mats are widely used in landfills, roads, tunnels, railways, highways, tunnels, municipal engineering, reservoirs, slope protection and drainage engineering fields due to their excellent drainage performance.
  • They can effectively reduce the pressure of net water, prevent structural damage, and reduce engineering costs. Composite drain mats are also used for drainage of seepage ditches in the middle of roads and on both sides of roads, tunnel drainage, and slope drainage.
